Dozens of Shelter Dogs & Cats Land in Wisconsin to Find Homes for the Holidays

There’s no place like home for the holidays, and thanks to your generous donations, over 70 dogs and cats will get a chance to find a forever home before the holidays.

This month’s Flight to Freedom departed Louisiana on November 4 filled with homeless dogs and cats from overcrowded shelters.

They were flown to Wisconsin where they were met by friendly staff and volunteers from receiving shelters.

Washington County Humane Society Director of Animal Care, Jenni, took in dogs from the flight, but also assisted in the flight operations.

The shelter shared, “Our normal #TransportTuesday operations with Greater Good Charities were disrupted due to Hurricane Melissa. One of the planes normally used for pet transport was helping in the Caribbean. Our Director of Animal Care, Jenni, went down to New Orleans to assist with today’s transport. We welcomed her as she stepped out of the fuselage!”

The dogs and cats are settling in at their new shelters and will soon be up for adoption. They are so grateful for your support that is giving them a second chance to find a family.

Help save more lives by donating towards next month’s life-saving Flight to Freedom. Overcrowded has become the new normal at many shelters and highly adoptable animals are at risk of euthanasia.

Together, we CAN make a difference.
