Family Drives 10 Hours to Adopt Bonded Shelter Dogs

Labrador retriever mix brothers, Payton and Parker, have spent their entire lives together and were surrendered to Humane Society of Broward County when their owner moved and couldn’t take them with.

Even though they are only seven months old, they have an unbreakable bond and do best together. The shelter shared their story and adorable faces with their fans on social media hoping that someone would come along and adopt them together.

It worked!

A family spotted the handsome fellas and reached out to the shelter to inquire about adopting them. Then they got in their vehicle and drove ten hours to meet Payton and Parker and bring them home.

The brothers look identical with each having one blue and one brown eye. They are friendly, playful, and ready to continue to learn commands. When not chasing balls, they are often found cuddled up together.

The shelter shared the fantastic news about their adoption with their followers. They wrote, “With plenty of space to run, play, and stay side by side forever, these two are officially home. Their adopter even drove over ten hours to make it happen talk about dedication and love!”
