Abandoned Mama Dog and Newborn Puppies Found by Schoolchildren in Woods

Your donations are making a difference to animals like Sienna and her newborn puppies. Read how your support helped this family get the care they desperately needed.

Sienna was let down by humans when she needed them the most. The pregnant dog was dumped in the country by her owners shortly before giving birth.

The intelligent pup wandered on her own in search of a safe place to give birth and found a spot in the woods next to a school playground. She was malnourished and struggling to care for her eight newborn puppies.

Thankfully, the schoolchildren heard the cries of the puppies and found help. They ventured into the woods and rescued the dogs. Furry Friends Rescue was contacted to help Sienna and her puppies survive and thrive.

The puppies had not even opened their eyes yet when they arrived, and Sienna was in desperate need of food to be able to properly nurse her puppies.

Your generous donations provided nutritious dog food to Sienna so she could care for her little ones.

Sienna and her puppies continued to gain weight and are now happy and healthy. The rescue told us, “Look at her now and you couldn’t tell that she ever missed a meal. GREATER GOOD and REAL MESA you can’t even imagine how much you are appreciated in the rescue community.”
