Animal Rescuers Hiding from Russian Drones Hear “Cry For Help”

Aerial attacks in Ukraine have only increased over the past few months, resulting in more destroyed villages and claiming the lives of hundreds of civilians and animals.

Calls for help continue to come in to animal rescuers like Krystina with Under the Sun Shelter and 12 Guards. The team enters war zones to save innocent animals left behind.

Dressed in camouflage, they make their way carefully through the active combat areas always keeping an eye and ear out for drones.

On a recent rescue mission, they shared what they discovered while taking cover from overhead drones. While crouched on the ground to stay out of sight, they spotted kittens and then heard another noise nearby.

When it was safe to explore, they went in search of the noise and discovered two abandoned dogs, one inside a doghouse and one hiding underneath it. What they heard was a “cry for help”.

Even though they were beyond full, there was only one choice – save them all.
