The sweet 1.5-year-old calico cat was found with a gunshot wound to her tail that was left untreated for some time, resulting in it becoming infected.

Her tail was partially degloved and mostly necrotic. She was taken in by an animal rescue in Georgia who brought her to a vet for treatment options.

After examining her tail and prescribing antibiotics and pain meds, the vet said the only option is to amputate her tail.

The friendly feline enjoys being around people, despite what she has been through, and deserves a second chance to find a loving home.

Her surgery is scheduled but the rescue needs help covering her medical bills and recovery costs.
