Help Fly Over 70 Shelter Animals Out of Overcrowded Shelters in the South – Blocklines

Help Fly Over 70 Shelter Animals Out of Overcrowded Shelters in the South

The forecast is clear- for now.

Hurricane season has begun and is predicted to be very active due to favorable atmospheric conditions and warm ocean waters.

This is just another concern for overwhelmed animal shelters in areas along the coast, like in Alabama and Louisiana. They are already overcrowded as new animals continue to arrive and need help.

With your support, we will swoop in and rescue over 70 shelter animals and fly them to freedom in New Jersey. Many highly adoptable animals are at risk of euthanasia due to lack of space and adopters.

Donate today to help save lives. Meet just a few of the animals with a one-way ticket to New Jersey.

The three-year-old Labrador/hound mix is a heartworm-positive dog who was overlooked at the shelter. His caretakers told us, “Butch has a heart as big as his smile. Social, affectionate, and endlessly sweet, he’s the kind of dog who makes friends wherever he goes. Whether it’s greeting new people or joining other dogs on a pack walk, Butch is happiest when he’s part of the group.”

He will now get the second chance he deserves as one of the pet passengers on this month’s Flight to Freedom and find a loving home after treatment for heartworm disease.

Harrison arrived at the shelter in poor shape and needed surgery on hip. The young cat has healed from his injuries and is ready his person. According to the shelter, “This handsome boy is affectionate, curious, and eager to settle into a loving home. Harrison enjoys attention and companionship, and he carries himself with a calm resilience that makes him a joy to be around.”

He is ready for his next adventure which will begin in New Jersey.

Her caretakers said, “Despite what she’s been through, Winona’s spirit shines bright. She’s incredibly affectionate, thrives on attention, and adores the company of other dogs.
