Animal shelters and rescues nationwide are seeing an influx of orphaned kittens and puppies. Many are underfunded and unable to provide the specialized care and nutrition these fur babies need to survive and thrive.
Some arrive as newborns with their eyes not even open yet while others are a few weeks old but struggling to survive.

Blue and Zippy, orphaned puppies from different litters, were at an overcrowded shelter where there were not enough resources to care for the sick pups.
A shelter volunteer posted they were “in need” of help and Tornado Alley Bulldog Rescue came to their rescue.
Both puppies arrived sneezing and sniffling with upper respiratory infections. They were quarantined as they began treatment.

Blue was thought to be blind and showing no interest in food. He was malnourished and needed nutrients. Staff went to work offering puppy formula and even syringed water into his mouth.

When his condition did not improve, he was brought to the vet. It was discovered that Blue was suffering from a bad case of hookworms, which were making him nauseous.

The rescue shared, “Luckily after some anti-nausea medication and another round of dewormer, he started to act more and more like a normal puppy! This included improvements in his vision!”
Zippy devoured the nutritious pet food – donated thanks to your support- and is full of energy. Both are doing well and finally getting the nutrition and care they need.

Your donations are making a huge difference in the lives of shelter animals. The rescue is grateful for your support and said, “Huge thank you for providing optimum nutrition for these little pups.”
