A pregnant dog named Ginger was dumped by her owner at a local lake. She was mistreated her whole life and was leery of humans.
Compassionate Animal Rescue Efforts (CARE) was contacted and a volunteer went to rescue the scared dog. It took a lot of coaxing before Ginger would allow anyone to get near her.
The rescue shared, “She was so underweight and clearly had been neglected for a long time. She had a long road ahead. That afternoon Ginger was quickly settled into a caring foster home just hours before she started giving birth.”
