Rabbit Needs Medical Care After Emergency Tooth Removal – Blocklines

Rabbit Needs Medical Care After Emergency Tooth Removal

The Georgia House Rabbit Society looks after many bunnies – and finds them homes – but one bunny in particular has had a rough time of it lately.

Neville – a 1 year old lionhead mix – was facing some health issues, and, rather than getting those taken care of, his owner dumped him outside in his neighborhood because she couldn’t afford his medical care. Fortunately, one of her neighbors swooped in to rescue him, but his issues weren’t solved yet.

Neville had been unable to eat without seriously hurting himself because his incisors were completely overgrown. If he didn’t have surgery to remove his incisors quickly, he was at serious risk of becoming malnourished.

Fortunately, his luck changed. After getting his surgery, he was eating normally within just 30 minutes of waking up. In fact, Georgia House Rabbit Society says he was so famished, he didn’t stop eating for a few hours.

He’s doing a lot better now, with the rescue saying the spunky and sweet bunny is “training for the next Olympics by using his willow tent as a balance beam.” Before he can find his happily ever after, though, he needs to complete his recovery, which will require ongoing care, medication, and monitoring.

Greater Good Charities’ Emergency Animal Medical fund was contacted to help with his medical bills. Together, we can help Neville get the care he needs to heal and go on to find his forever home.
