Shelter Cat Struggles to Find Home After Her ‘Baby Charm Fades’

A cat who’s having a hard time finding a home because she’s not so little anymore is still getting plenty of love and care while she waits for her happily ever after, and you’re helping!

Mini came into the Zénó Cat Protection Foundation in Hungary as a tiny little kitten. She wasn’t just without a home. She was also dealing with giardia, an intestinal parasite that causes exhaustion, vomiting, and diarrhea. Staff provided the care she needed to recover, but it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows when she got back to health.

The organization says, “By the time we cured her, her baby charm had faded, and despite our efforts to find her a home, no one has come forward. She’s sweet, adorable and beautiful–but she’s a tabby (grey and black). Thousands of cats like her are looking for homes in Hungary today. So far, no one has shown interest in adopting her.”

HELP FEED SHELTER PETS

Thanks to your clicks, trivia participation, shopping for a cause, and direct donations, Mini is still getting her fill of nutritious food while she waits, though. Through our partner Greater Good Charities’ GOODS program, shelters in need are connected with pet food suppliers who have excess product that they can’t sell. Rather than tossing it, they donate it do shelters, and GGC helps handle the distribution, even if it’s in another country, like Hungary.

You’re helping shelters across the world feed their sweet residents, while freeing up funds for their medical care and other necessities. Thank you! If you’d like to keep contributing, click below!
