Ukrainians Honor Their Fallen Heroes on Three-Year Anniversary of War

On the three-year anniversary of the invasion in Ukraine, mothers, wives, relatives and fellow comrades gathered to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country – their lives.

The heartbreak and loss are clear on the faces of the family members clenching to photos of their deceased heroes. Others marched holding flags and flowers as part of a requiem rally.

Nina Yevtushenko, GreaterGood employee in Ukraine, shared the video below of the ceremony held on February 24 and said, “On the Cossack Island, they honored the bright memory of real warriors, heroes. Protecting their relatives, friends, the Ukrainian nation and state, they gave the most precious thing – their lives.”
